Abstract

Alceu Ranzi is a geographer and palaeontologist, he taught for over thirty years at the Federal University of Acre - UFAC. For more than two decades, he has worked tirelessly in the dissemination and defense of archaeological sites known as geoglyphs. He has just published “Geoglyphs of Acre: deep past”, which narrates the saga of the researcher who proposes to draw the attention of the public authorities and express his concern in the press regarding this heritage. This pilgrimage culminated in important projects and partnerships that adopted multidisciplinary tools to understand the wide distribution of these land structures in the Western Amazon.
