Arqueologia e cuidados: representação do passado, atividades de manutenção e práticas acadêmicas

A arqueologia feminista se concentra em subverter o patriarcado através da representação do passado. As representações convencionais do passado atuam como modo de violência simbólica, porque naturalizam a desigualdade entre homens e mulheres e reproduzem o cisheteropatriarcado. Este artigo centra-se na proposta de atividades de manutenção como alternativa a essa lógica cultural, destacando o caráter estrutural de uma série de práticas cotidianas atravessadas pelo cuidado e pela atenção ao outro, sem as quais a vida seria impossível. O artigo incide muito especialmente na relação interpessoal entre aqueles dão e recebem cuidados para afinar a demarcação do conceito. A arqueologia das atividades de manutenção coloca em jogo uma racionalidade distinta daquela patriarcal neoliberal, revelando sua particularidade histórica, reparando os silenciamentos historiográficos que tem ocasionado e oferecendo representações alternativas e melhores que, por sua vez, influenciam um novo tipo de racionalidade pública no presente. Isso inclui necessariamente as práticas acadêmicas hegemônicas.
