Arqueología de la artesanía contemporánea
meditaciones sobre tecnologías perecederas hoy y en el futuro

Este artículo presentará reflexiones sobre el papel de las tecnologías perecederas en la contemporaneidad. Para hacer eso, haré breves discusiones sobre la formación del campo de la Arqueología del Pasado Contemporáneo, sus objetivos, temáticas y las razones por las cuales los debates sobre técnica y tecnología, y más específicamente aquellos sobre tecnologías perecederas, quedan ausentes en la bibliografía. También se presentan discusiones sobre los temas tradicionales del trabajo sobre perecederos en arqueologías de contextos prehistóricos y las posibilidades analíticas que trae la inclusión de perecederos contemporáneos en el debate. En el transcurso del artículo propongo un esbozo de una Arqueología de la Artesanía Contemporánea centrada en los procesos técnico-productivos modernos. Estas discusiones se presentan y ejemplifican de mi trabajo con la producción artesanal de guitarras eléctricas.
