Abstract

The approach adopted in this study relies on the development of deep mapping to specialize events, to understand the continuous occupation at the confluence. The results presented here refer to the survey and the study of forty archaeological sites related to human occupation events at the confluence. Considering the data from a decolonial perspective and from a critical viewpoint against the positivist historiography, I sought to understand the human occupation flux at the Confluence and their relations to the landscape. The results were presented as texts, worksheets, but also by using the approach of the deep mapping and ArcGis Story Maps (ERSI). Along the study it was possible to see how the flux of the rivers, things, and people allows to understand the human occupation processes along the confluence of the rivers.
