Usos de las tecnologías arqueológicas en la construcción de un futuro resiliente

El conocimiento ancestral es clave para la capacidad de un futuro más adaptado, resiliente y resistente ante los desafíos que plantea el cambio climático. En este sentido, este artículo busca argumentar –en diálogo con la historia del concepto de cultura y con el debate sobre las “culturas arqueológicas”– que la materialidad registra procesos de adaptación, resistencia y resiliencia, y puede orientar políticas públicas más justas y realistas ante las pérdidas inevitables. Como estudios de caso, analiza (1) la ingeniería de molinos mareomotrices en la Amazonía, interpretada como “memoria hidráulica” potencialmente inspiradora para la descentralización energética, y (2) las construcciones de tierra de Guató en el Pantanal, entendidas como tecnologías ancestrales de ocupación resiliente, que articulan patrimonio, gestión ambiental y conocimiento tradicional en un proyecto aplicado. Se concluye que el patrimonio debe tratarse como un agente dinámico de transformación y que la integración de la ciencia, la tecnología y el conocimiento comunitario es crucial para “posponer el fin del mundo” y fortalecer futuros sostenibles.
